Stars & Stripes Explosion - July 4th - Celebrate the U.S at this fun event at the beach!

24th Street Park
31st Street Park
On the beach at 20th Street

Multiple live performances on oceanfront stages will attract thousands of visitors and residents of Virginia Beach to a "star-spangled" salute to this great country of ours at Stars & Stripes Explosion! Musical acts offer something for everyone with the English Channel, ZoSo - the Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience, Revolution - the Beatles Tribute, and Symphonicity (the symphony orchestra of Virginia Beach).

From 8:00pm-9:30pm, a stage erected right on the beach at 20th Street becomes the focal point for performances by Symphonicity (the symphony orchestra of Virginia Beach) together with the Virginia Beach Chorale. This musical program encompasses patriotic songs, Broadway standards, movie themes, and folk music. The show segues into a spectacular fireworks show at 9:30pm that explodes over the ocean in a burst of colors and patterns! Felicia Barton of "American Idol" fame will take part in the production on the 20th Street stage, singing "God Bless America."

Revolution - the Beatles Tribute is the leading worldwide touring show that captures the Beatles with authentic instruments, costumes, a visual impact, sound and excitement that can only be described as incredible! This four-man group of Beatles impersonators delivers a concert that takes the audience time-traveling through the 1960's. The concert showcases the Beatles' greatest hits, featuring music from their historic appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show, their appearance for the Queen of England, and their movies "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!" Revolution - the Beatles Tribute will take the stage at 17th Street from 7:00pm-8:00pm and 10:00pm-11:00pm.

ZoSo - the Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience, performing from 8:30pm-9:30pm and 10:00pm-11:00pm at the 31st Street Park, was formed in Los Angeles to create the most mesmerizing and accurate portrayal of the original band. Each individual member was selected to portray both the image and playing styles of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones. Together, the quartet pays homage with its powerful and unmistakable Zeppelin sound.

The English Channel performs the incredible British hits of the 60's and early 70's, ranging from classic rock and pop songs from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Petula Clark, The Who, the Hollies, Dusty Springfield, Cream, the Zombies, Moody Blues, Elton John, and many others. Each song The English Channel performs is meticulously recreated to sound just like the original recording! The English Channel will appear at the 24th Street Park from 7:00pm-8:00pm and 10:00pm-11:00pm.
