New life breathed upon a classic Broadway hit - Amadeus!

New life was breathed upon this classic Broadway hit. Director Peter Schaffer himself would not have been able to take his eyes off of Ray Dooley who played the conniving Antonio Salieri. The Chautauqua Theater Company with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus delivered an outstanding performance. Director Vivienne Benesch and Conductor JoAnn Falletta created a perfect balance between madness and music.

VA Arts Festival Review: Flying PROMS Symphonic Airshow Spectacular

The skies above the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach have never had this sort of excitement before. The inaugural Flying PROMS was part of the Virginia Arts Festival which brought together the finest WWII aircraft collection in the world with the beloved Virginia Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of the just named VSO associate conductor, Benjamin Rous.
