My Top 5 Favorite Holiday Movies

Posted by Michelle in Movies , Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year! And it's time for some great holiday movies. Here is a list of my favorites.

1. It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

One of the most popular holiday films of all time and my favorite holiday movie. An angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. Makes me cry every time.

Special Veterans Day Lecture at The Mariners' Museum in Newport News

Posted by Michelle in Newport News , Museum Exhibits , Holiday Events , American History

Memorialday2

My father is a Vietnam veteran and so Veterans Day has always been a very important day for me. It is a day to remember and be thankful for the actions of people like my dad and all the service men and women who have served our country and those who still do. On this day we also remember those who have lost their lives in all the wars for our country and for our freedom. We owe so much to them so please take a few moments this November 11th to remember all those who have fallen in service of our country.
