Throughout the month, we'll be giving away tickets to some of the most anticipated events that the Virginia Arts Festival is bringing this year. From today's giveaway, one lucky winner will receive a pair of tickets to Igudesman & Joo, A Little Nightmare Music to be held Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk. The phrases "classical music" and "doubled over laughing" were seldom heard in the same sentence before these musicians with wildly funny performances entered the spotlight. DONT MISS OUT!

Gavin DeGraw & Colbie Caillat to Co-Headline the Budweiser Main Stage at the 36th Annual AT&T Norfolk Harborfest

Norfolk Festevents announced today that co-headliners' Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat will perform on the Budweiser Main Stage in Town Point Park on Friday, June 8, 2012 during the 36th Annual Norfolk Harborfest® on the downtown Norfolk, VA waterfront. The Concert is free and open to the public.

colbycalletTed Baroody, President of Norfolk Festevents stated, "We are excited to host Gavin DeGraw in Town Point Park for the third time and to introduce Colbie Caillat to the City of Norfolk's premier outdoor venue! We are proud to host this level of performance and to offer the show free to our guests."

Norfolk Harborfest® will host OpSail 2012 Virginia™ from June 6-12, 2012 as part of the national commemoration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star Spangled Banner.

It's Chocolate Time!

1534Imagine a land that's filled with delicious, decadent, divine chocolate--milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate--in every form and as much as you want of it. Now understand that you don't have to fall asleep to experience the Chocoholic's Dream. During the next few days, the Virginia Arts Festival is hosting quite an enticing event--The Art of Chocolate. The main attraction (Chocoholic's Dream) will be held Saturday, March 24 at the Scope, Norfolk and will feature cooking demonstrations, entertainment and chocolate samples and sales in any and every form imaginable--and some that you'd never dream of. To accompany Saturday's event will be a Loco for Cocoa Bartender's Challenge tonight at Granby Theater, cocoa-covered confections and champagne brunches on Sunday and chocolate-inspired dinners at downtown Norfolk restaurants throughout the week.
