Most years the Virginia Aquarium Winter Wildlife Boat Trips end mid-March. But this exceptional year of whale sightings deserves a longer season, so trips have been extended through April 1. Last week's record-breaking high temperatures didn't seem to bother the boat passengers or whales even though whales were sighted on 60% of the trips. Recently, some guests are getting the added bonus of seeing dolphins. To date, the Aquarium has completed 104 Winter Wildlife Boat Trips with nearly 7500 guests.

The Virginia Aquarium offers two-hour Winter Wildlife Boat Trips. Guests will find a heated cabin as well as outdoor seating on both the upper and lower decks of the 65-foot catamaran Rudee Whaler or Rudee Flipper. They can sip a hot or cold beverage as they cruise along with knowledgeable Virginia Aquarium educators and scan the horizon looking for birds, harbor seals, harbor porpoises, and whales.

Imagine a land that's filled with delicious, decadent, divine chocolate--milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate--in every form and as much as you want of it. Now understand that you don't have to fall asleep to experience the Chocoholic's Dream. During the next few days, the Virginia Arts Festival is hosting quite an enticing event--The Art of Chocolate. The main attraction (Chocoholic's Dream) will be held Saturday, March 24 at the Scope, Norfolk and will feature cooking demonstrations, entertainment and chocolate samples and sales in any and every form imaginable--and some that you'd never dream of. To accompany Saturday's event will be a Loco for Cocoa Bartender's Challenge tonight at Granby Theater, cocoa-covered confections and champagne brunches on Sunday and chocolate-inspired dinners at downtown Norfolk restaurants throughout the week. Another diverse musical offering from your local pool hall....

Two W&M a cappella groups perform this evening from 8 - 9 pm. The Cleftomaniacs go first, and then Reveille follows at 8:30 pm. With a wide repertoire and talented singers, these groups will entertain and delight you.

Middle school girls work together with women in the medical field to examine significant health topics and explore careers in medicine. Girls in Medicine Camp In is sponsored by HCA Virginia Health System. Fee: $10 per girl and $10 per chaperone. For every four girls, one chaperone is required. Pre-registration is required.
