A day of remembrance for the life and work of civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. There will be children's educational craft activities from 12 to 2pm. At 2pm the animated movie, "My Friend Martin" will be shown. At 3:30pm a documentary film of the March on Washington will be shown.
All events are free. Space is limited.

Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with OCES! We honor his leadership in the civil rights movement by learning about justice and serving in various projects in Petersburg, Virginia. On January 16 and 17, we'll learn about the local and national fight for equality, and issues of poverty, justice and inequality that persist today. Groups will depart at 9 am Sunday and 7:30 am Monday, and all will return at 5 pm on Monday.
