Family Service Day from American Pride Automotive
The next Family Service Day will be Jan. 8, 2011 at the Yorktown location. Family Service Day is American Pride Automotive's signature community action event. Every six weeks Charlie Marcotte and his staff open their shop to service and maintain the cars of single parent families for free. They have recently extended this service to military families who are affected by a deployment.
The goal of Family Service Day is to give a little something back, and even teach people a little about what goes on under the hood. Simple understanding of how cars work and some regular, simple maintenance can often prevent expensive repairs down the road. They check fluids, hoses, belts, tires, brakes and more, and do what they can to help families who can't afford these services. They provide free oil changes and tire rotation, and plenty of advice and suggestions to keep cars running smoothly in the future.
