Sierra Club, Surfrider Foundation and Oceana announced that "HANDS ACROSS THE SAND" will be held in Virginia on Saturday, June 26, 2010.
"Together we will draw a human line in the sand in opposition to drilling off our Virginia coast and in support of clean renewable energy," said Sierra Club's Eileen Levandoski.

SUMMER IS HERE! Register for the Ghent Summer Bar Tour
On Saturday, July 31st we will hold our annual Ghent Summer Bar Tour to raise money for a terrific local charity - Hope House Foundation! This summertime pub crawl plans to journey as usual down Colley Avenue, 21st Street, and the surrounding locale in the historic midtown Norfolk neighborhood of Ghent from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, ending with a big tent party at The Boot! Indeed, this charity pub crawl promises to be yet another great night out on the town for residents and visitors of Hampton Roads alike. We're excited to oh-so-soon be soaking in the sun and sitting outside en masse at our favorite Ghent bars and restaurants and we hope you are too! All of the details on who's participating, how to register, and what to do at the event is available through the links in the menu above. So gather your friends and get ready to crawl - this is one event that you all won't want to miss!
REGISTER NOW & SAVE! To participate in this event, you will need to register online with a credit card or in person the night before or the day of the event. Note that the registration fee is set to automatically increase as the number of registered participants increases, so be sure to get registered as early as possible!
