Save 10% on Boho Chic - The August Scentsy Warmer of the Month

Posted by admin in Shopping , Home Tips , Discounts

What is Scentsy?

Scentsy began in 2003 with the powerfully simple idea of aromatic candles - decorative warmers with wax melted by the heat of a light bulb instead of a traditional wick and flame.

Unique Scentsy warmers use a low-watt bulb to melt the specially formulated wax slowly, maximizing the fragrance time of the Scentsy Bar or Scentsy Brick. With no flame, soot or wick, the Scentsy system is a safe way to enjoy more than 80 Scentsy fragrances.

How to use a Scentsy Warmer

  1. Plug it in. Turn it on.
  2. Place one or more sections of your Scentsy Bar into the dish.
  3. Enjoy the Scentsy feeling!

College Night at Guadalajara in Virginia Beach

College Night at Guadalajara!

Contributed by Megan Keeling

guadalajara-vbTuesday night is College Night at Guadalajara's at Town Center in Virginia Beach!

Starting at 9pm, Guadalajara brings in a live DJ and opens up the dance floor to bring in the college crowd. There are two bars set up-one on the dance floor and a larger one towards the back. Guadalajara's boasts an entire back wall of frozen daiquiri machines, available in flavors such as "Hurricane," "190 Octane" and "Rum Runner." Otherwise, the drink specials are somewhat disappointing-Bud Light Limes are $2, but everything else is full price. As for the dance floor, the DJ played the perfect mix of new hits and older favorites, and-at least for the summer-the floor was not too crowded to bust a move. But the most distinctly "college" aspect of the whole event is the beer pong tables set up near the dance floor; apparently, hitting a club is no reason to have to miss out on this house party favorite.

Williamsburg Dining Deal: Steak Night Saturdays at Corner Pocket

Posted by admin in Williamsburg , Restaurant , Discounts , Dining Deal

Eating out is one of those treats in life that most of us enjoy, no matter how budget-minded we are. It is a wonderful way to get away from the house and have someone else do all the cooking, serving and clean up. It's also the first thing we cut out when we're trying to stretch our dollars and save a few cents. But there are ways to save when going out to eat and it does not have to mean eating fast food.

There are great dining deals around Williamsburg and you don't have to sacrifice quality.
