April 3, 2010, 10:00 am - 11:00 am

This special event is for children up to age 12 yrs. old. Bring the kids to Lee Hall for their fifth annual Easter Egg hunt. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for games and photo ops. Experience the Antebellum south and tour Lee Hall Mansion. Learn about the history of Richard D. Lee and his family as well as the Peninsula Campaign of 1862. A great family event! Admission is just $5.00 per child.

Built between 1851 and 1859, Lee Hall Mansion was home to affluent planter Richard Decauter Lee. One of the last remaining antebellum homes on the Virginia Peninsula, Lee Hall offers visitors a step back to the mid-Victorian period.

The Byrd Theatre, www.byrdtheatre.com located at 2908 W. Today it serves as an anchor for the quaint Carytown shopping district, offering second-run movies for $1.99. And just as in the early days of the Byrd Theatre, you can catch a Saturday night performance of the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ prior to the movie.

Don't miss your chance to solve a Murder Mystery in Williamsburg. Great fun for St. Patrick's Day

Posted by CW Burke in Williamsburg , Theatre , Family Fun , Dining

mdp-irishHave you solved the "Murder at Irish Wake" yet? Thousands of people already have, since opening on September 25th, the new Mystery Dinner Playhouse production has been a smash success. Every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, audiences have walked away stuffed, tickled (to the funny bone!) and surprised, and the shrewdest audience-detectives walked to their cars with prizes. If you haven't seen the show yet, don't worry, it runs until March 30, 2010. Surely, your calendar has a free Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evening between now and the end of March. There's no better way to fill in that empty calendar square!
