Fine Dining at Seasons Restaurant in Williamsburg

Posted by Michelle in Williamsburg , Family Vacation , Discounts , Dining , Coupons

seasons_diningWhen I go on vacation, I have one tradition that always ensures a night of fun. Whether with family or friends, I insist on a sophisticated night out. Traveling is stressful; good food, prepared by the experts, and stimulating conversation provides a way to unwind and forget those travel worries. Though it sometimes proves to be difficult to shed those comfy sweats, a night on the town is always worth it. Here in Williamsburg, I recommend Seasons Restaurant.

The food here looks like works of art. I always have trouble eating here because I don't want to ruin the wonderful ambience of the plate in front of me. But, in the end, I do, because the plates are delicious! Whether you prefer steak, seafood, salads, or traditional American burgers, every menu option is guaranteed to stimulate the palate and quell a growling stomach. And after dinner, prepare for Starbucks coffee.
The convenience of Seasons is unbeatable, with its extreme proximity to Colonial Williamsburg. After a day of sightseeing and living the eighteenth century life, it is nice to return to 2009 with sophistication and elegance. A short walk to South Henry Street, Seasons is in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. Seasons Restaurant is a great vacation dinner venue.

Seasons is a great place to have lunch or dinner while you're in CW.  Be sure to use their coupon. Click here to save 10% on your next visit!

Sand Soccer in Virginia Beach

Posted by robertvining@gmail.com in Virginia Beach , Sports/Athletics , Soccer , Outdoors , Festivals , Family Vacation , Family Fun

If you enjoy sun, sand and surf with your soccer then this IS the place to be on June 5-7, 2009.  Get ready for the Ultimate Beach ball game!  The 16th Annual Sand Soccer Championships returns to Virginia Beach this summer and you don't want to miss this fun soccer festival.  Nearly 10,000 players will face off on the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

sandsoccer.jpgYou'll find colorful international teams parading to the sound on conga drums enroute incredible U.S. OPEN Pro/Am matches, with cash prizes at stake; hundreds of youth teams aged 9 thru 19 battling on the beaches, men's and women's single gender squads, college teams, and even "corporate-coed" competitors from businesses and military organizations promoting health and fitness. The game, played on 25-35 or 30-40 yard grids, is 5v5 and seriously fast-paced, with limited dribblin' and laser shots on goal. Never fear, however, as brackets are seeded to support all levels of play - from the beginner to the most professional. Much like beach volleyball, sand soccer‘s rules are easy to pick up. Uniforms for this beach bash are "anything-goes", just about like the game itself... You can even preorder UMBRO sand soccer balls to work on your touch!

This is the "Grand Prix" of international amateur beach soccer events and is something you won't want to miss.  It attracts teams from nearly 20 states and as far away as Germany, Brazil, Norway's rocky seacoasts and the wilds of Canada's Northwest Territories. The Championships are staged over 18 full City blocks of prime oceanfront real estate, on over mile and a half of white sand - against a backdrop of diving gulls, banners waving in stiff ocean breezes, thousands of Boardwalk bedazzled spectators, live music and great food. Meanwhile, surf's up just a few steps from the soccer action.

Explore Virginia Beach by Kayak

Posted by admin in Virginia Beach , Tours , Road Trip Worthy , Outdoors , Family Vacation , Family Fun

kayakWith more than 18,600 acres of state parks and wildlife refuges, over 121 navigable miles of waterways and 35 miles of ocean and bay beaches, Virginia Beach gives visitors and locals a variety of landscapes for exploring the great outdoors.

Virginia Beach is home to one of the last great salt marsh habitats on the East Coast. The miles of waterways take the form of rivers, bays, lakes, marsh areas and fingers of water that all flow into the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay. One of the best ways to experience this jewel is by Kayak, offering the opportunity to experience nature at its most pristine and undisturbed. With no engines, or props, to propel you, you slow down and take a step back in time.

Dolphin Watching in Virginia Beach

Posted by Michelle in Virginia Beach , Tours , Road Trip Worthy , Outdoors , Family Vacation , Family Fun

dolphin.jpgDid you know that the Chesapeake Bay is often referred to as a "Dolphin Disneyland"? That's because there are tons of Dolphins and Dolphin families that congregate and play in these waters.

Summer is right around the corner so why not make a sunset dolphin watching tour one of the highlights of your vacation this year!  Check out the Dockside Seafood & Fishing Center sunset cruises.  The cruises last approx. an hour and a half and depart nightly at 7:00 pm beginning Memorial Day.

The cruises offer a little something for everyone. You start by heading down the coast toward historic Cape Henry (through the very waters that the English Settlers traveled before landing in 1607). Some of the other sights that you'll enjoy on your cruise are seeing the many Navy warships and commercial tankers entering or departing the bay and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, one of the seven wonders of the world.
