Richmond's Scariest and Most Original Walking Ghost Tour Attraction

Posted by admin in Richmond , Halloween Haunts

By far Richmond's scariest and most original walking tour attraction!

Capital Creepers proudly presents the "Eerie Nights" Ghost Tour, which leads visitors through Richmond's oldest neighborhood, Shockoe Bottom, in search of restless spirits. No cheery tour guides here!  You will be led through these historic trails by our "Ghoul Guides"- a group of the walking dead doomed to haunt the streets of Richmond and tell you all about its tragic past. Your "Ghoul Guide" will tell you about the tragedies and paranormal activities that have happened and are continuing to happen at each stop along the way. Eerie Nights Ghost Tour is truly a haunting experience unlike any other. Tours are for mature audiences, but families are welcome! Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

eerieEerie Nights tours run every weekend during the month of October and the first weekend in November. For those who don't wish to gossip with the ghouls can partake in our "Death at Dusk" Sunday tours, which are more fitting for families and younger groups.

Ghost Train at Northwest River Park

Posted by admin in Virginia Beach , Outdoors , Halloween Haunts , Family Fun , Children's Activities

Ride the terrifying train and see the haunts and ghouls of the haunted woods of Northwest River Park . . .

The Ghost Train is a half-hour ride through the haunted woods of Northwest River Park. Beginning in the Activity Building, the scene is set by an eerie introduction to the spooky adventure which awaits you in the dark of the park. Next you are boarded onto to Northwest River Park Ghost Train (hay carts, with built in benches), and the journey begins. As you wind deeper and deeper into the woods, a storyteller spins a ghoulish tale which unfolds in unexpected ways and in various locations.

Richmond Halloween Attractions - The Legend of Creepy Hollow: Haunted Hayride & Scream Forest

Posted by Diana Fakhouri in Richmond , Outdoors , Halloween Haunts , Family Fun , Coupons , Children's Activities

Contributed by Diana Fakhouri

creepy-hollowThe next stop on our terrifying tour of Richmond Halloween attractions is the Creepy Hollow Hayride & Scream Forest, opening on October 2 for its 18th year. The Hayride takes thrill-seekers through the dense Creepy Hollow woods, where they're introduced to the victims of Dr. Ulysses S. Farrington's medical experiments. If you're lucky enough to escape his clutches, you can warm up by the bonfire and enjoy food and beverages from the Midway. Still craving some spooky fun? Head over to Scream Forest and test your vocal chords at the Hollow's intense walk-through attraction, but beware: you're on your own for this one, so no one will hear you!

BloodLakeThe haunted season begins October 1 at most haunts around Virginia. This is HANDS DOWN, my favorite time of year and Richmond offers such an expansive menu of horrific pleasures - houses, campgrounds, hayrides, pubs...the list goes on! I'm like a kid in a haunted candy shop.  I'll spotlight a variety of local scares throughout the month, so be sure to check back for reviews and recommendations.
