Virginia Air & Space Center in Hampton, VA is the 1st Museum in the World to go IMAX 3D Digital!
Out of 447 IMAX theaters worldwide and 256 in the US, the Riverside IMAX 3D Theater, is the first institutional theater in the world to go IMAX 3D Digital! The state-of-the-art enhancements include IMAX's powerful digital projection system and latest digital surround sound, a new IMAX screen, new flooring, and new seating with cup holders. The audience experience is better than ever! While still presenting traditional IMAX films such as Hubble 3D and Under the Sea 3D, the digital upgrades will allow for more Hollywood blockbusters to be shown. Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga' Hoole, opening September 24, will be the first full-length feature visitors can enjoy in the newly renovated IMAX Theater.
