Phish Bus from Williamsburg to Charlottesville

Posted by nvijay in Williamsburg , Traveling Concert Series , Transportation , Music , Live Performance , Concert

Going to see Phish? Then I bet you're as stoked as I am.  It's time to jam with Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell and Jon Fishman.  This concert is going to be such a good time!  I love their music - a fusion and blending of rock, jazz, funk, progressive rock, new wave, ambient, bluegrass, psychedelic rock, reggae, Latin, folk, blues, country, and classical.  They've got it all!

Phish is my generation's Grateful Dead.  I've seen both bands and they're fantastic.  Just like Dead shows Phish shows are just fun.  They are more than a concert, they are an event.  No two shows are the same since they always play different songs and different play lists. The concert is the centerpiece of one fun party. And just like Dead shows, fans and concert go-ers get to the shows a bit early to have a great time and oftentimes "follow" the band from concert to concert.  But in my case I'm just going to Charlottesville.  And I plan on taking a ride on the Phish bus as a prelude to a great event on December 5th.

Phishhead Express heading to Charlottesville

It's going to be a good winter for music in Virginia. Jimmy Buffett and Johnny Mathis are both playing in the state, and less than a month later, Phish will be here as well. They might not draw exactly the same crowd as Mathis or Buffett, but Phish is no slouch act, and although the band's favorite venue was at the Hampton Coliseum, they'll be playing at the John Paul Jones Arena, on December 5.

Go Green, Stay Clean. Get on the bus to see Jimmy Buffett and Phish!

Posted by admin in Traveling Concert Series , Transportation , Music , Live Performance , Concert

It's a simple fact that motorcoaches are the best way to travel to minimize your carbon footprint. They offer the greenest and most cost-effective transportation choice.

Did you know that...carbon_dch_footprint

  • A single motorcoach can replace as many as 55 passenger cars?
  • Motorcoaches are the most fuel-efficient transportation mode in North America?
  • Motorcoaches emit the least carbon dioxide (CO2) per passenger mile when
  • compared to other vehicles?
  • Motorcoaches are 7 times more energy and fuel-efficient than single occupancy automobiles?

James River Bus Lines and Carey Transportation has launched a cool, roundtrip, eco-friendly service - The Traveling Concert Series: A deluxe motorcoach that departs from Norfolk, then picks up passengers in Newport News, travels on to Williamsburg and Richmond and then drops the passengers off at Scott Stadium, John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

Not only are you being kind to the environment by traveling responsibly, but you'll stay clean:
