Civil War Navy Conference for March 9th-11th at The Mariners' Museum. The Mariners' Museum, along with its partners at NOAA's Monitor National Marine Sanctuary, The Museum of the Confederacy, and the Hampton Roads Naval Museum are soliciting panels and poster sessions for the Civil War Navy Conference, featuring award-winning authors Harold Holzer on March 9th, Craig Symonds on March 10th, and John Quarstein on March 11th. Papers will be considered in the following areas: Civil War Naval history, technology, literature, art, and popular culture, as well as Civil War Underwater Archaeology and Conservation. Sessions will run no more than 90 minutes. The Mariners' Museum is just minutes from Williamsburg and a short drive from Virginia Beach.
