Celebrate 403 years of history on Jamestown Day! May 15 marks the anniversary of the founding of Jamestown Settlement Colony, the first successful North American community.

Jamestown Day is co-sponsored by Historic Jamestown, the actual site of the original 1607 colony, and Jamestown Settlement, a living museum that allows visitors to experience life in the 17th century. Don't miss Jamestown Settlement's launching of the ship Godspeed at 10:00 a.m. to a canon salute, or Historic Jamestown's 4:00 p.m. Commemorative Ceremony. An address by the chief of the Chickahominy Indian tribe, Stephen Adkins, will honor the colonists and natives who helped shape Jamestown.
