Robert Cillizza, Executive Master Chef, The City Dock RestaurantRobert grew up in an Italian family with roots deep in the hospitality industry. Inspiration from his parents as hotel operators drove him to pursue a career and led him to have highly dedicated sense of determination, discipline, and work ethic for his expertise. Obtaining his culinary arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America, New York, NY Campus with honors, set his career in motion and he has not looked back in 16 years. Cillizza's strengths focus around seafood and Italian cuisine, for which the City Dock features. Norfolk allows the Master Chef to truly explore the bounties of the sea and regional farms to create this cuisine for his guests daily. Supporting charities such as Operation Smile, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and spending his free time restoring old cars, Cillizza still finds time to star on a local Fox affiliate cooking show on a weekly basis. Staying on top of the industry and developing trends, Cillizza looks forward to continuing his career in the industry and continues to enliven palates of his guests on a regular basis.
