Adam Lambert: Coming to the National!

Contributed by Quinn Simmons

ADAM_LAMBERT-19-PR_smallYou may remember Adam Lambert as the runner-up of "American Idol" in 2009, he's the guy with the spiky black hair, dark eye make up, loud style, and incredible stage presence. Well, lucky for us Richmond-ers he is coming to the National on August 27th on his Glam Nation tour. Starting at 8:00 and for $32.50 you have the chance to see Adam Lambert in his element, up on stage.

Born in Indiana (Wahoo! A Midwesterner!) on January 29, 1982, Adam Lambert was born a performer. From the age of ten, he has built a long, impressive resume including a European production of "Hair", "The Ten Commandments: The Musical" alongside Val Kilmer, and as an understudy for the part of Fiyero on the Broadway smash hit, "Wicked", to name a few. His decision to audition for "American Idol" came about a week before auditions commenced, and what a good decision it proved to be.

"For your Entertainment" was released in 2009 and sold 198,000 copies in the United States in the first week alone. "On With The Show" was released earlier this summer, and is a compilation of his earlier works. He described his music to Larry King as a "rock-pop-electronic-dance thing" and you can believe that he will deliver that and more at his August 27th show at the National. Grab your eyeliner, and see you there!

Click here for tickets and see him live at The National!
