Puttin' On The Tenor - A concert to benefit the animals

The Heritage Humane Society Auxiliary will present Anthony Kearns, one of the original Irish Tenors, in concert at 4:00 p.m. at the Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall, College of William and Mary Campus. All net proceeds from this concert will go to support the work of the Heritage Humane Society (HHS) in caring for and finding "forever" homes for abused and unwanted animals in the Greater Williamsburg Area.

About Anthony Kearns
Internationally acclaimed tenor Anthony Kearns is well known all over the world as one of The Irish Tenors. He was born in Kiltealy, Ireland, in 1971, and selected as an original member of the famous Irish Tenors in 1998, at age 27. His vocal range has contributed significantly to the sound and popularity of the group.
It is in his solo performances, however, that one experiences the unique talent of this gifted young man. He is in complete command of his craft and delivers performances that thrill and delight his audiences. On March 28, 2010 he will perform a medley of beautifully rendered opera and classical pieces, traditional Irish favorites, internationally recognized standards, and golden classics. He has the ability to make every song his own, and is simply referred to by his fans as "The Voice."
Critics have compared him to the great John McCormack, and referred to him as the "Tenor of Our Times." He has also been named "Ireland's Best Living Tenor." With The Irish Tenors, he has appeared on PBS, and at many international venues including Wolf Trap, Madison Square Garden, Boston's Fleet Pavilion, and the Hollywood Bowl. He has performed his solo concerts all over the world and continues to thrill audiences everywhere he goes!
