Come in from the cold and enjoy a warm southern comedy for our first show of the 2010 season!

NOW THROUGH MARCH 28, 2010
by Ron Osborne

This warm Southern comedy, full of humor and pathos introduces us to six very different women who come together during WWII at church to roll bandages and plan the church’s 75th anniversary. We meet Edith, the pastor’s wise-cracking wife, the witty Luby, Mae Ellen, the rebellious organist and more zany characters. Fast forwarding twenty-five years, these six women reunite, but much has changed…and hasn’t. Find out what happens with these quirky Southern women reminiscent of that delightful group from Steel Magnolias.

A longtime supporter of Hanover Tavern, which Barksdale's founders purchased in 1953 and sustained for over 40 years, Mrs. Hargrove dedicated countless hours to community service. Her generosity has been invaluable, and the impact of her caring spirit will live on forever.
