 Too hot for you outside? Then enjoy a change of scenery and move indoors to the Virginia Beach Rock Gym. It's a great workout and fun for everyone! Make sure to call ahead and make an appointment at least one day in advance. It's well worth it. Check out some of the classes they offer below:
Half Hour Climbing Intro
If you have never climbed before, and want to try without the worry of knot tying and rope handling, this is for you. You can climb with one of our instructors for 30 minutes. Suitable for any age.

Half Hour Rappel Intro
Make several trips over the edge of our 25-foot rappel tower under qualified instruction for 30 minutes.

One-Hour Climbing Rappelling Combo
Take advantage of the whole facility by spending 30 minutes climbing AND 30 minutes of rappelling with one of our certified instructors.

Reservations required.
Belay Class
Learn the basics of belaying from one of our certified instructors. When you are done with the class, you will have the rest of the day to stay and climb with the equipment provided. The next time you visit, you'll be asked to take a quick belay test to ensure you remember everything you learned (no charge).
Space is limited, so call ahead to ensure your place in the class.(maximum of 8 people per class)

Students must be 14 years of age or older in order to belay at the Rock Gym
Lead Class
Learn the essentials of quickdraw set up and placement, clipping, rope management, climbing tactics, and safe falling. Class certifies the student to lead and lead belay in the Rock Gym. (Price includes all the necessary equipment)

Private Instruction
Designed to meet your needs, this class can be anything from help with your technique to a private belay class. (All necessary equipment included)
