Ho, ho, ho! It's just not Christmas until you hear that magical chuckle Mr. Klaus, especially for the younger set. Lucky for us Williamsburg dwellers, Santa is busy making the rounds throughout the holiday season!
If you just have a few minutes, drop by Yankee Candle on Richmond Road to catch a glimpse of Santa. He'll be there from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday, he'll be there from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with extended hours 'til 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. You can even pick up some items to cross off your list - the ones Santa's not bringing, of course.

Busch Gardens' Christmas Town is the destination for holiday family fun. The park transforms into a winter wonderland, with regional Christmas traditions in New France, Ireland, England and Germany. Santa holds court in his Workshop, where the young and old are invited to reveal their Christmas wishes and take a picture with the jolly old elf himself. Christmas Town opens on November 27th and continues on weekends throughout December.
Nearby Yorktown offers a number of free Christmas events that will feature an appearance by Mr. Klaus. On December 4th at 6:30 p.m., festivities begin for the Illumination and Christmas Tree Lighting at the Yorktown Victory Monument. Directly following is the Procession of Lights through Yorktown to Riverwalk Landing. At 7:30 p.m., the Christmas tree will light up the night and the holiday entertainment begins, including a visit from Santa. To find out more, call (757) 890-4970.
Cookies and Santa? Count me in! On December 6th at the Gallery at York Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., families can come enjoy Cookies with Santa. Ask what his favorites are so you'll know what to leave by the fire on Christmas Eve.
On December 12th, Riverwalk Landing celebrates the season with the Toyland Parade at 1 p.m. Come decked out in holiday attire and join in! Holiday music and a ride on the "Polar Express" accompany the parade. Of course, Santa will make an appearance, and Mrs. Klaus will tell some holiday stories! For more information, call (757) 890-3500.
Williamsburg is the place to be this holiday season. Whether you check out one or all of these holiday events, your family is sure to make cherished memories to last a lifetime. Bring your camera, and don't forget to tell Santa your Christmas wish!
