Marc Cohn at the Sandler Center for the Perfoming ArtsSaturday, February 13th at 8 PM Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, pianist, acoustic and electric guitarist, Marc Cohn is often named among the most personal, most introspective lyricists of his generation. He used his husky voice and distinctive songs to great effect with his 1990s debut hit "Walking in Memphis," and he has continued to record and tour nationally ever since. Walking in Memphis is a great song and definitely one of my favorites. It's moving and energetic with an amazing piano score. It's one of those songs that gets in your head and you'll just be humming it all day. I saw Marc Cohn when he came to the Kimball Theatre here is Williamsburg and it was a good show. But I'm really looking forward to the Virginia Beach show. I'm sure his performance at the Sandler Center with their great acoustics will be even better. I'll definitely be there! And the timing couldn't be any better (Feb 13th) if you want to surprise your honey with a Valentine's Day ticket to Marc Cohn. (hint, hint wife - I know you're going to read this) An evening in Virginia Beach would be nice!
