Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a national U.S. holiday celebrating the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country. So, enjoy a few labor free days and have a fun-filled weekend in Williamsburg. Here is our list of the:

4. FREE Virginia Symphony Concert - Saturday, September 5, 2009, 6 to 10 pm - Virginia Symphony Concert. A free outdoor concert beneath the stars at 7:30 pm. Enjoy a pre-concert performance by The Fifes and Drums of York Town. Sponsored by the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and York County Arts Commission. Yorktown Victory Monument. Patriot Golf Day - Play golf this weekend at the Golden Horseshoe and contribute to educational scholarships for the children and spouses of military men and women disabled or killed while serving our great nation. This Labor Day weekend, golfers across the country are asked to add an extra dollar to their greens fees to fund the Folds of Honor scholarships.
10.Take a drive down the Colonial Parkway. If you're feeling especially adventurous stop off at one of the many parks like Queens Lake Park or New Quarter Park and walk the trails.
