Time to thank those special teachers who take care of our students all year with something that will bring them holiday cheer!

With so much to do, and so little time, teachers really appreciate receiving something that saves them time. Why not help make their lives a little easier with some of these gift ideas:

1. Gift baskets-items they can savor for themselves or take home to share with their families. They get to eat what's included and don't have to find a place on their desk for anything.

2. Gift cards to local eateries-Teachers are just as busy as us parents, and so cooking is always a juggle. Get some gift cards to eateries that are close to school for quick pickup or a dine-in option.

3. Aromatherapy-whether you give an uplifting scent in a candle or something they can keep in their car to uplift their spirits. Try peppermint or spearmint.

4. Gift card to coffee shop- for that quick pick-me up option that isn't filled with guilt, give your teacher a gift card to a coffee shop-preferably one on the way to school or back home.

5. Books-Teachers love to keep up with their subject matter, or just read a book that takes them away on a reading trip-get them a book you have raved about, or a gift certificate to your local bookstore.

6. Movie-- Who doesn't appreciate the 2 hour mini vacation you get when you escape to a movie feature. Try local theater gift certificate or one to Red Box or Blockbuster.

7. Chocolate - Everyone's favorite gift! Provides that afternoon pickup or feeling of escape at any time of the day.

8. Manicure - Happy hands are able to keep up with a large workload-whether you give a gift certificate for a manicure or all the goodies for one they can pamper with themselves.

9. Music - Itunes gift cards always fit the bill!

10. You- Teachers always appreciate parent participation. Whether you can offer to grade worksheets or come in to do a presentation on your work experience, your teacher will get a little breather. Why not make up some coupons that offer your talents?
