Establish in 1918, the U.S. Marine Corps Band, Quantico is one of the oldest professional musical ensembles in the Marine Corps. The unit entertains audiences performing classic to contemporary pieces at more than 350 performances annually across the Eastern Seaboard, covering more than 50,000 miles. There are both ceremonial and concert bands equipped to provide musical support as directed by the Commandant of the Marine Corps and the Commander of Marine Corps Base, Quantico. U.S. Marine Corps FAST Company USMC Force Regiment, FAST company platoons consist of approximately 50 Marines that rapidly deploy to conduct antiterrorism and security operations in support of Naval Fleet Commanders in order to protect vital naval and national assets. The Marines and Sailors of the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion are the living legacy of the first Continental Marines, created 226 years ago to serve "in every climate and place" with our nation's Navy.
