Visit New Kent Winery this weekend
Thursday, 20 August 2009 09:43

new-kent-tasting-roomLooking for something fun to do this weekend?  Head over to New Kent Winery.  It's a beautiful winery and the perfect place for a picnic lunch.  New Kent offers a leisurely paced tour so you can get an up-close and personal look at the exceptional woodwork and craftsmanship that went into constructing this one-of-a-kind Virginia winery.  They also offer insight into their Virginia wine making program. The tour and tasting also includes a New Kent Winery etched souvenir glass.  And best of all you can enjoy a tasting of all of their wines currently in production!  My favorites are the Vidal Blanc and Reserve Chardonnay.  Click here to see read more about their wines.

Their wines are really good.  Buy a few to enjoy with lunch.  You can sit and relax with your favorite wine at a table or couch on their expansive porch which overlooks the beautiful vineyard.  There are also select wine books, accessories and clothing in the gift shop in case you want to take a few souvenirs home.  They have a cute wine cork trivet that would make a great gift!

New Kent is an easy drive down 64.  Click here for a posting about a recent visit to New Kent Winery.
