Viva la France - Celebrate Bastille Day at Can Can Brassiere
Saturday, 11 July 2009 00:00

BAstilleIn France Bastille Day is celebrated as a national holiday - with joyous cries of "Viva la France!" to mark the storming of the Bastille in Paris on July 14, 1789. The historic people's revolt was the first step to establishing a republican government, wildly cheered by French commoners who claimed an historic first in France's long royal history.

Today, Bastille Day remains a great excuse to plaster the walls with French travel posters, enjoy French cuisine, learn at least a few French travel phrases, sing a few verses of the French national anthem,  La Marseillaise - and break out the French champagne!

Need an idea for le 14 juillet celebration? Celebrate Bastille Day this weekend on Saturday, July 11 - start off by heading over to Can Can Brassiere, for a wonderful celebration of fine French dining. One word describes the dining experience at Can Can Brasserie - Fantastique! The food, service and atmosphere are "revolutionary". If you haven't been to Can Can it is reminiscent of a French eatery with a bustling atmosphere...a truly rewarding dining experience. The food and wine menus are equally extensive (the reserve list is quite impressive.)  Click here to check out the various menus featured at Can Can, including lunch, dinner, wine and desserts.
