The Muscarelle Museum of Art at the College of William and Mary is a distinguished art museum, finessed with dynamic, explorative exhibitions and filled with the generous support of the College's faculty and student body, including the Williamsburg community. Various selections of artwork are presented throughout the museum, from 17th and 18th century English portraits to Japanese prints and Expressionist works, illustrated through different mediums such as oils, pastels, watercolor, and sculpture. This month features an array of exhibits that blends modern media and technology with traditional techniques.

Spanish Baroque in the New World: Sibyls from Zurbarán's Studio, narrate scenes of Christ's life, prophesized by pagan prophetesses, The Twelve Sibyls. Artwork was produced by multiple Spanish and French artists of the 17th century.
William and Mary faculty presents, Faculty Show Eleven, filled with sculpture and canvas pieces, which will run until October 25, 2009. Another exhibition, Pursuing Perfection: Highlights & Select Loans from the Museum Collection, features colonial and early American pieces, as well as other works by artist Titian, Robert Henri, Georgia O'Keefe, Diego Velázquez, and many more.
